calling Mr. Outnumbered

Just saw your HD gallery, darn beautiful...one sharp ride.....and I'm a little green right now

I was just wondering what hood that is on there, and where ya bought it from? Also the brand of gas door, and where you bought it from..

Thanks in advance.

I'm almost positive its a good hood by keystone or something like that. if i didn't get a cervini's thats the hood i probably would have gotten. but cervini's is only 1/2 hour away from me, so that kinda helped

not sure where outnumbered's been. he hasn't been around in a while

Thanks

Thanks for the info....looking at hoods, since I'm considering a custom paint job on my Screw....outnumbered's photos were great to work off of, and photoshoped kind-of what I'm considering...let me know what you think:

if you think it sucks, say so....I won't tell you to pi$$ off cuz you don't like it. The good, the bad, and the ugly...let me hear it. of course mine won't look as trick w/o the HD grill, and those wheels...those have to be the absolute best rims ever designed. oh yeah..any info on that gas door? Thanks again.

Thumbs down that totally blows!

just kidding bro. that paint job kicks @$$!!!!!! seriously!!! I'd probably have to see it in person to see if i'd like it enough to have it on my own vehicle, but the photoshop version looks pretty sweet IMO. I love the hood and grille paint scheme (like robg's pattern) and the cab back looks like the same paint line on the 03's. You could have like the hood and grille painted going by their contours, then have the black follow the curve of a smooth cowl down onto the fender then straight back like in the pic. I say definately go for it. will be a new looking paint job design! post pics if you do it

Thanks,

photoshop is just too much fun...and cheaper to play 'what if' than to do it, and regret it.....Over thanksgiving I'm gonna talk with a paint shop in my hometown and see what he says....just made up another one..flame job this time....what ya think?

flames look good, but on the actual truck would need to be smaller and a few more of them. looks awsome though. i got the hang of photoshop, with changing color, rims, dropping it and all that, but still got alot to learn with it. still can't draw flames on vehicles on teh computer. I can draw them pretty good too though. You should see my books for school, their covers are covered with flames, whenever i'm bored and there is a pen and a piece of paper or something around, i just start sketching flames and trucks i'll have to scan a few of my drawings one of these days

my covers looked the same too when I had them, the inside pages as well...core classes were sooo boring when going for an art degree, lol....

I just stole the flames from a website selling decals, and distorted them a little bit to match perspective.. I agree with you that they're a little big....I like the long flowing flames that look like they're being blown over in the wind, moreso than the shorter, more rounder kind......

anxious to find out what the guy says about the cost of a paint job......

yeah, right now i've been drawing more tribal flames on my books just something new to do.... the long flames with the overlapping and crossing tails so it looks 3d, adn then putting shadows under the tips so it looks like they are popping up.
my favorite flames that i've seen so far are the canadian ratfink's from ftw. he does some awsome work, and i really like how he does the flames. its hard to make them look good, cuz if they are a little off, it just look cheesy.
but his are really long and thin, and it looks like they are blowing down the side of the truck. awsome work. his ranger that he did is amazing with all the murals on it, and that grown up coppertone girl and dog
he flamed a 00 HD with red/orange chamelon type paint. it looked awsome! I still like true ghost flames the best though. if i can find pics again, i'll post em. mucho bucks though!

post when you find out how much for that two toned idea if you go for it. or better yet, two toned WITH ghost flames. LoL

Cool

I like the flames, kinda subtle, I like the blended in look rather than a sharp contrasting color.

Had flames then removed them. Also put a logo on the bed and window. Thinking of Ghost Flames.

maybe something a little more conservative

maybe something not so far off the beaten path:

keep my lower two-tone, but darkened to shadow gray, and then do the hood/grille in similar fashion...extending back along the top of th cab, and following the lines of my ARE LSII tonneau.

....thinking I may have to look into some knock-off version of those wheels too....uggh so many mods, so little money.

Hi guys,

Glad my truck pictures were able to help you! Braboin, Josh beat me to a response, my hood is from Keystone and cost $595. The gas lid came from carparts.com and was $49.95.
