C1185 - 2003 F150 Harley Edition

Hello all,

My ABS light has been on for sometime now, and I would like to resolve this issue. I have opened up the cover and reflowed the large solder joints but this did not help. The ABS light turn on intermittently. When first put the module back on the truck I had a successful 2 days with no light thinking I solved the problem.

Does any on have any insight as to what the problem is?

Thanks in advance

Did you verify the quality and integrity of the battery power supply circuit (fuse F1.102 via pins 9 & 25) and of the ABS module's ground connections (pins 8 & 24) on connector C155?

No, I do not have a schematic to tell me pin-outs as you mentioned. i can definitely try this.

Do you have a schematic that you can share so I can try / test these measurements. Also, is this with the key on or off.

Also, I have tested all the fuses and cabin and under hood, all is good.

the schematic will definitely help though

Normally you need to scan with a computer to troubleshoot ABS issues.

Ok I had a chance to test the voltage at these 2 points and I am getting 12.65 volts with Key off.

According to the diagram it says I need a new module. Has anyone experience the same and change the module tofix this problem?

The flowchart looks pretty precise to me. If you have power coming in and a good ground, then the module has failed internally if it's giving that fault code. What more were you expecting?

Well, there are times that you have a sensor go bad that triggers a false positive. Additionally, I have read that some of these modules are known for having cold solder joints. However, in the Harley forum nobody seems to have this experience with a failed ABS module. So I have been asking myself, what are the chances of my module being bad for my particular year and model when nobody else with the same model has experienced this issue. But the non-supercharged trucks seems to have this issue.

Just looking to see if there any in-depth DIY solutions instead of changing entire parts.
