The new ride

A while back I started a thread Thoughts on new vehicle and I recieved a lot of great feedback, thanks everyone! Just recently I decided to go ahead and pull the trigger on a 2016 Ford Explorer Sport. So far I have been very happy with the vehicle. Upcoming todo list is fairly short (for now) which is to black out the windows and get it tuned.

I would rather have better pics than it sitting in the driveway, but its all I have for now.

Nice ride! I haven't seen a new Sport yet, that's sharp. Do you have any interior pics? I've been curious what the inside looks like on the new Explorers.

Have a buddy who has dealt with and has contacts at JDM Engineering (http://www.teamjdm.com) and swears by them. He has had a collection of vehicles tuned by them including his current Ecoboost F150. I'm going to talk with them and see what they can do, the second option may be Livernois.

Sounds like a couple good tuners. Don't forget about Unleashed also. Torrie has a very good reputation with the EBs.

Added some interior pics, did not have time to get many of them, let me know if there are other shots you would like me to get.

Checked the blacked out windows off the list today, went with a ceramic film that blocks heat to help keep the car cooler. Talking with tuners now so hopefully I can get that covered soon.

Nice Explorer!

Do they make a lowering kit for those?

A small drop or bigger tires would look really good on that thing.

From what I can tell, its as simple as replacing the coil springs all the way around. Appears to be a lot of options out there.

I would go with bigger wheels before bigger tires I think, but I like the factory wheels on it, so maybe lowering is an option. I think the stance and fitment looks better in person than it does in the pics, but it maybe something I look into down the road, next upgrade will be a tune.
