Coil Springs Removal

I am going to lower the front of my truck tomorrow and wanted some help on it. I am installing lowering springs on my truck and wanted to know if somebody knows the process in removing the spring or can direct me to a guide of how to, I'm doing this on a 01 5.4 supercrew 2wd. I have searched online with not much luck. Thanks.

I've never done them on these trucks but when I did them on the mach I I used a coil spring compressor I rented from autozone. I suspect thats what you'll need to.

I did it on mine without a compressor. Just jack it up, remove tire, support by the frame so the suspension can droop out using a jackstand, unbolt the sway bar end link, tie rod end, and either the upper or lower balljoint so the spindle can be out of the way, then just step on the lower control arm and push it down and the spring will fall out.

I put a cargo strap through the coil and back up to the upper control arm mounts just in case but did it the same way as pizzaman
