Champion 7989 plugs yes or no?

I have a 07 5.4 3v and want to replace my plugs. I have looked around and seen pros and cons concerning the plugs. Are Motorcraft that much better? Any imput would appreciated.

I'll put it this way. Many have put 100,000 to 130,000 on the Motorcrafts. I do not recall one post where plugs failed prematurely. I don't think that can be said for any of the other brands. If you have the originals out and put the nickle antiseize on the shank, why not go with what is known to work well? I have 55,000 on my second set of Motorcrafts. That is my near worthless opinion on the subject.

It's entirely up to you - you'll have to weigh the risk/benefit thang ... (2-piece versus 1-piece, reported successes/failures, etc)

Read through this (including all embedded links):

BTW - well-respected member Jim Allen continues to have success running his.

After reading all the responses and checking around I opted to go with the Motorcraft plugs even though they are still the same design. I gave up on the comfort of a 1 piece plug for one the sounds like it will perform much better. One question I have is when installing the new plugs is it ok to use a little silver anti-seize on part below the threads to help prevent it from seizing up later? Thanks to all for the information.

Have you not read the TSB? It tells you to use nickle antisieze on the shank.
