2001 f150 supercrew ttt mirrors

Hello, I have read all over this forum and I am looking for telescopic tow mirrors for my 2001 f150 supercrew. I have seen post that say mirrors listed as ** will not fit supercrew** will work for the supercrews. Has anyone installed TTT Mirrors on their 2001 supercrew and if so what brands they used. I don't want to spend $300-$500 on mirrors only to find out they will not fit. I have no problem modifying to make it fit as long as they fit like the factory mirrors. Thanks in advance.

supercrew mirror and expedition mirrors have a different mounting surface than the other cab options. with that there were never any direct factory bolt up tt mirrors

the only aftermarket ones ive seen are a set klitch has on his 97 scab.

They now call mine the ones by Magna, I got them on sale for under $200, they required modifications but are more stable than the mirrors on my dads 2000 f250.

the mounts themselves then. I'm the type of guy that'd make up a new mounting plate for my mirrors I bought.

I have however seen ONE guy driving down the interstate, looked like he was 70 or so. His green screw had superduty mirrors on it, looked very clean when I passed him.

the plastic part that mates with with the door has a different shape and the top extends farther on the screw and expy.

there was one guy here that did sd tt mirrors before he sold his truck.

Klitch, what type of mods did you have to do? So could I order expedition mirrors and mount them?

On the mounting studs, there is plastic that is suppose to slide into the door outer shell. Rather than ream these holes out for the plastic to slip in I opted to file the plastic down. I dont like making bare metal.

Here's a pic showing how the screw/Expy mirrors have a bigger base then the reg cabs and scabs.

Here is a website that i found that has tt mirrors with electrc/heat/signals for our mirrors. They however are 500 dollars but would be awsome to have for towing.

Thanks for the info, but I need to post pictures of my mirrors. I don't think mine are that big. I really think they are the same size as the regular ford mirrors, but I could be wrong.
