Question best bang for buck spark plugs?????

i have searched through all the treads on changing spark plugs and here is a list of plugs everyone is using....

ngk-itr6f
ngk tr6
ngk tr5
denso it-22

i went to advanced auto parts to get an idea of prices and i know they carry ngk b/c i got them for my car but when he pulled the list up for the L there wasn't one listed. an oem replacement was an autolite (dont remember the exact model) i will be changing them out myself it will be my first time. i know the truck is having a miss fire so i might have to get new coils..or atleast new boots...car dealer washed the engine... anyway i just was wondering what everyone is running in theres and what there opinions are on the ones listed verses an oem one. OH..and are there any L owners near eglin afb/ft walton/destin area...i could use a lil help...i've got and will buy all tools need

How much boost are you running? There isn't a "Bang for the Buck" when it comes to spark plugs. Some people have spent $80 on Denso's and then found out that NGK's work better for them. Some are the other way around. It's all about personal preference. Me, I run NGK. I've never tried Denso's because I don't need to. NGK's work great in my engine.

TR5 is equilevent to the stock heat range, the TR6 is one range colder.
if your stock use the motorcraft plug IMHO.

I'd be running TR-5's or OEM Autolight's, light mods TR-6's I've run them for over 5 years without issue.

Don't know if you've changed them yet, but the Denso's will give you the best, smoothest factory-idle quality bar none. I love them, and have tried NGK Iridiums and they did not even idle as well.

Agreed. Pulled my IT22's out WAYYYY too early. Still had plenty of life on them after 15,000 miles, but I changed them back to NGK TR6's just beause I had them laying around. Good plug...but not as smooth and efficient as the Denso's in my book.

I'd go with the TR5's or Motorcraft plugs. FYI, autolite makes the motorcraft plugs. and another FYI, if you ask for NGK plugs at Autozone or Advanced Auto they will have to cross reference the NGK number (i.e. TR5) to get their separate part number. I had a noob at the store I went to one day and they had to show him how to do it since the TR6's I wanted wouldn't show up because they have their own part number.
