Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords Lightning Shootout

MM&FF is taking submissions for its 2006 Lightning Shootout. Rules are as follows:

• Gen I or II
• Stock-style suspension and body
• Full interior
• Any power adder—multiple power adders OK
• Any engine modifications
• Full exhaust—no bullet-style mufflers allowed
• All necessary safety gear for ET/MPH

The event will be held at Raceway Park in Old Bridge, New Jersey and is tentatively scheduled for August 8th, with a rain date of the 9th. We expect most contestants will be running eleven seconds or quicker, but elapsed times will not be the only thing we consider for admission.

When is the deadline for submission. I suppose you guys probably want to see pics of the engine actually IN the truck not on the stand...

Do we have to be there with a truck? I'll be recovering from surgery, so I won't have to work. I'd love to come and hang out. The last MM&FF Lightning shootout was awesome!

 

Does this mean that trucks with Silver Bullet exhausts are not permitted?

The X-pipe may keep it quiet enough. The E-town crew is pretty ear savvy and will break out the dB meter if necessary.
