I made the Ford Fusion key work with my truck!

That's right, after 3 days of trying to make it work and 33 days of road testing, 3 keys later 2 at 93.52 each, 1 at 52.00 I was able to get the fobs to work. In my 2005 F-150.
Two side effects to this, first the range the fob works at about 40% less distance than your current key fob, second the key fob rubs on the rubber cap on your column, but you’ll get use to it being just bit harder to turn in no time at all.

My next project is a head up display.

That's just how to program the key and the fob once the fob has been modified
if that's what you mean? The fob is a PITA to take apart I’m not talking about the battery cover.
The dealer retails these for about 120.00 each you get it cheaper from me.

From: Georgia on my mind...
It looks cool, but those keys are like $100 a pop and you said they don't fit quite right, and the keyfob range is even shorter than what it already is (which ain't all that great to begin with)...

I guess it's just me. I don't care if my original key looks like dog meat, as long as it starts the truck.

The fob distance puzzles me... I just rented a Fusion for a few days, and one of the things that I noticed was that the Fusion's fob distance was noticable GREATER than that of my F150's... Could the reduction of distance have to do with the fact that the Fusion key isn't made to work with the F150?

The range on my org. key fob for my truck is 213 feet clear shot, with the new fob it's 132 feet about 40% less. Maybe your range on yours is less to start. The key does fit!
