Emergency blown plug repair with JB WELD

I did it and it works , just clean the hole and plug with break cleaner and a gun cleaning brush. mix up some JB weld let set for 20 min so it does not run.
Coat new plug threads insert into hole. Let set over night and with luck it can get you home. It might last 10 min. or forever. I towed a boat home and plan to tow again this weekend. will do a proper repair when time allows

Most importantly: How does it run? And what JB weld did you use?

The question is, are you going to do the 7 other plugs now for preventative measures?

Of course it will be faster, your plug was probably loose before it blew, which means you were losing compression on that cylinder, so there goes the power from that cylinder.

wow last time i heard an idiot do this some mexican was doing a tune up, broke the plug JB welded it in the hole, it was bad and the head had to be replaced.... was very costly for him.

IE i do have some stuff against illegal immigrants but the guy was a mexican... the mexico flag on the rear bumper and the last name on the back window gave it away not to mention i met the guy as he was trying to describe what he did to the mechanic at my dads work.

Oh come on, it is not that bad:
1. Remove other 3 plugs.
2. Remove head.
3. Toss head in trash can.
4. Buy new head, and have a problem with the CPS.
5. Put chain on 1 tooth off, and kick self in rear for 2 hours trying to figure out if the new CPS is bad, or WTF else could be wrong.
6. After 3rd CPS is in, find chain problem, truck finally starts.
7. Have a plug get tossed in the same head in 10K miles..start process over.

Think of it this way, you could install all 4 plugs on the head, with it out of the truck, so you can gap them after you put them in the head
Heads are considered consumable items like brake pads and wiper blades aren't they ?

WOW!!! A little passive aggressive are we.
What do you have aginst Mexicans?
Why does it bother you that someone came up with a good idea that works? Also, your comparison is invalid, read the Title "Emergency repair" so far this repair has saved me about $3k, got me home, and the repair is still working LOL
Now, when I do a proper repair and do inserts in all of the plug holes, it will only cost me about $400 and a days worth of work.

So before you start being P/A aginst someone you don't know and another race of good people, maybe you should go get yourself an education. Anytime you want to compare credentials let me know.

Some peoples kids!!! your parents are probably ashamed of you.

A BigSert kit is about $450.00, and you get 5 inserts for this cost, let alone the gasket cost, and any thing else you would run into parts wise.
Don't think you are going to get away with a TimeSert, after having JB welded the plug in.
I could be wrong about this, but I don't think the counter bore tool with the Time Sert is going to remove the JB Welded spark plug.

PS: I would think that to be agressive-agressive myself
