Sorry 'Bout That

.... Maggie 16616 gets picked up today along with my wheels and tires....
Things were going toooooo good. My son picked up the wheels/tires (already mounted) from the pier. Everything was palletized, and wrapped in plastic, outside of the wheel facing down. He calls me from my house (I'm still at work), and asks, "Weren't the wheels you ordered BLACK?" I say, "Yup...Pro-Comp 8023." He says, "Yeah, the invoice says 8023, but the wheels are stamped 6089." I am freakin' out! I run up the hill to my house to see for myself. THEY SENT ME 6089's.......but I specifically ordered these ....... 'cause they're a little different. They're easier to clean and I thought they'd look good on my black truck.

I called the shop I ordered 'em from (on O'ahu), but they said they'd check with the sales person and call me back. Not yet! I'm normally a pretty patient guy, but I'm gettin' LESS patient by the hour.

Sorry...I just had to VENT!

Maybe they thought you wouldn't notice the minor detail.

Good luck, I'm sure they will work it out for you.

I'd definitely hold out for the rims you ordered!

When you're paying big bucks for a package, you should get what you want!

Just be patient and re-order the correct package if you need to!

4WP...They sent my 8023 wheels to Hilo, and sent me the Hilo customer's 6089's. We both ordered the same tires, but sheesh...one set of wheels is BLACK and the other set is CHROME! Now we both gotta send 'em back to O'ahu, so 4WP can send us the right ones. AU'WE!

The saga continues...It's really starting to gnaw at my insides!

OK, so I sent the wheels and tires back to 4WP on O'ahu about 2 weeks ago. I called 'em to confirm that they got 'em back; yup they got 'em. Now they tell me that the other guy...the guy that got MY wheels and tires shipped to him on the Big Island hasn't shipped 'em back to O'ahu yet.

Now I want my wheels and tires. I don't give a rat's okole about what was mistakenly sent to the Big Island and what the time-frame is with the other guy sending my stuff back to 4WP O'ahu. What REALLY ticks me is that they never call to update me...I'm the one doing the calling!

Tomorrow I'm calling again. If they haven't shipped, I'm cancelling the order and disputing the credit card charges!

They should have ordered you another set of rims, instead of waiting on this guy from the big island. He might of decided to keep that set. This deal was not a 3 way deal, it was you and 4wp. It was thier mistake not yours, let'em have it bro!

I found this website about ProComp. I don't know if it applies to your purchase.

That's going to look awesome...but hard to mount without lugs! Post some pictures when you get them on the truck. What size wheels and tires?

Mahalo, Bro.

33x12.50x17 TruXus MT's, mounted on Pro-Comp 8023 17x9's. 4WP is FedEx'ing me the lugs and caps. It ain't too bad, 'cause I'm still having "nibbleshimmyvibration" issues with Frd. When that's settled to my satisfaction, I'll install the levelling kit and mount-up the tires and wheels. Truck is at the tint shop today; they're doing the windows and are gonna do the lower striping for me too. When everything is done, I'll put the digital camera to work.
