e fans
yes i think it is worth the money, it frees up space under the hood, it reduces parisitic loss freeing up HP and TRQ, it does a better job of keeping the engine at its operating temp(varies by brand and kit) AC runs cooler (in most cases, i think it is a great mod
i recomend the troyer performance duel 16" fan kit

I just finished my efan install this past weekend. I installed the Troyer dual 16" kit and the enitre process has been nothing but positive.
Starting with the install, other than being tedious at times, it was not difficult and Mike Troyer's intructions are very thurough. And speaking of thurough, the efan kit from troyer had every part needed plus many extras, giving you many options.
I have now been driving with them for 3 days and they seem to have provided me with better throttle response. I am yet to see if there are any noticable milage gains. Another plus will be the improved access to the oil filter when changing the oil.
If you do decide to install efans i do recommend spending the $10 to get a 2 piece fan clutch removal kit, it is money well spent.

noname05,
To answer your question, YES! I had no problems doing the install in 2 nights, each after work and i am definatly not a mechanic. There are only 2 specialty tools needed, a 2 piece fan clutch removal kit and a infared laser thermometer.

No one here can answer this for you because WE are not your dealership.
Its a rather easy job. I ran a 4.6/5.0 assembaly on the fron of my navi for supplemental cooling for the blower. When you have it on, you all but have to turn the ac off its so damn coooooold
I installed the Troyer dual e-fan 16" set, and I like em.
They take noticable drag away, get the a/c cooler, and would probably help gas mileage if I didn't push .... you know.
Installation took me a day to complete.
Installing the fans is a slow careful procedure, but didn't consume nearly as much time as routing and cleaning up the wiring....I'm picky.
I also recycled ( chopped and ground ) my old fan shroud to cover the top of the radiator.
Troyer's installation instructions are 2nd to none - easy for an occasional shade tree mech like me to do O.K.
I bought the fan clutch wrenches to have around, but I would give it a try with a pry bar and breaker bar / socket, as it is only torqued to like 20-25 ft lbs.. The fan nut is regular ole right hand thread by the way.
Also, I had to buy an I R thermometer which has turned out to be pretty handy to have around.
