I was recently able to refiance my house and pay off all my credit card debts. From the time the refiance went through and the checks were cut I had made payments on all my cards and now whne the checks were cut I will end up getting money back. My wife has been asking me what I wanted for my birthday and fathers day and etc and my response has always been I want to get things for my truck.

Last night she said well we have enough to get tires and rims for your truck or would you rather get the tuner and somthing else for it.

Here's my question should I hold onto the tires (generals ) and wear them out knowing that winter is coming. By the way in Wisconsin this morning it was 48 degrees. Or should I get the tuner and maybe underdrive pulleys and fan kit. I have 16k on the stock tires and they will probably last through the winter but man these tires suck!

Any way let me know what you would do.

 

The only thing I can say is if your tires are shot, what good is a tuner, your not going anywhere.

 

Its your birthday. Get the fun stuff - intake/exhuast/tuner. Cost about the same as tires (around a grand). Then get the new tires later. Your tires shouldn't be 'shot' after only 16k.

 

Hmmm, well if you get the tuner, you will soon need new tires. If you got a grand, I would buy the tuner and wait on the tires till procomp does the buy 3 get one deal around November. If you got the room, go with the BFG 35s from a Hummer dealership, they are only about 600.

Coming from another guy with Generals, get the tires.

 

Tires.. BAH! Get the goodies and burn out the tires. Tell the wife "its crazy, they looked great a month ago! I guess I need tires now."

 

I got to go with dzervit here spend the money on the tuner, exhaust and intake. The General tires don't bother me that much.

 

Thanks for the replies, I have decided to go with the tuner and wait until the airforce 1 is out, as I have the magnaflow si/so already.

Tuff I hear you about the tire deal these have to be the worst tires you could possible get on a vehicle. The next time I buy a vehicle I will request different tires or it will be a deal breaker. I will ride these until march or April and then come tax time I am getting tires.
