Ford Did It, Buyback!!! I got my new 06 FX4

Hello All,

Well Ford did it!!! I’ve heard of a lot of war stories but I have to tell you it was really easy for me.

Last July I bought a new 2005 Screw F150 FX4 and on my way home with it I noticed the vibration problem (like some of you are having), they tried everything but couldn’t fix it. And then a couple of fuel injectors went bad. The dealer had my truck for a total of 29 day trying to fix it. At first I thought I would just live with it but the longer I drove it the madder I got. So I got a hold of Ford and told them I wanted a new truck, at first all they offered me was a free 7 year 100,000 mile warranty but I turned it down and told them if they didn’t replace it that I was going to file a lemon law on it. So they said they were going to look over my paper work and call me within a couple of days but they didn’t so I filed with the BBB lemon law, and wouldn’t you know it, right away Ford called me and said they wanted to do a voluntary buyback. So they offered to give me my full money back or a new truck so I pick a new truck! I went to a couple of Ford dealer and didn’t like any of the trucks they had on the lot so Ford had me order one and it came in last week.

So this is what I ordered,

2006 Ford F150 FX4 Crew-Cab with the 6.5 bed, Luxury Package (witch comes with leather captains chairs, Both front seats are Heated and power, and the drivers seat has memory on it, and it comes with the electronics A/C & Heater, adjustable pedals and deluxe Mirror), Over head rail system, Rear backup censers, Power rear window, 35.7 Fuel tank, Satellite Radio and of course Tow package.

What a night and day difference between the 05 and this 06, No Vibration, it runs smother and rides Smother. Gotta Love it!!!!!!!

I don't know why but you're making me want to trade up just so I can have the factory reverse sensors & heated seats, damn I wish I had'em. I'm going to throw this on ebay a time or two to see what I can get for it.

The heated seats are the best. I love mine!

Nice truck...!!! Thats what I wanted...but when I bought my truck in 04, they didnt have the 6.5 foot bed on a SCREW.

Good stuff...

Josiah, Heated seats are nice...Reverse Sensors...c'mon now. You got your truck pimped out and you want Sensors? When you check out my truck one day...take a look at the Camera I have...thats what you want!!!

Nice ride...maybe my next one will be that!!!

What if I said it's not in the budget right now :P We need to meet up sometime, what are you doing for Memorial Day weekend, up for a trip? Hollister would be nice. I have every option except for passenger power seat, heated seats and reverse sensors, I'm glad I did not sit in your seats Nick! I'd be jealous, thanks for rubbing it in! Would really be nice to have all those options and I've often considered the check corp heated seats & purchasing the factory reverse sensors. I'm going to look for a totalled F-150 somewhere in Cali, I need to check back to the thread where everyone suggested places.

scottps,

Welcome to the 6.5ft club!!! Nice truck!! Be careful and look out for the mod bug. Once it bits your done. And it cost alot to get relief, but it is only temporary!!

Enjoy,

Nebraska

how does the buy back work. do you have to pay what the new truck is worth or do you get the new truck for the same price/payment as your old one they bought back?

Thats great that ford worked with you like that but it sucked that you had to file a complain before they did anything. Good luck with the new truck.

Thanks guys!!! It’s nice when you can order it the way you want it, no more no less!!!

The way the buyback works is, it doesn’t matter how much you paid for the truck, they go by MSRP. So if the new truck you pick out has a lower MSRP then the one you’re giving back then they’ll pay you the difference, and if it’s higher you pay the difference. But then again every year the MSRP goes up so they work it out that if you pick out the exact truck you pay nothing.

I’ll post more pictures later, I’ve got to get ready to go to Big Bear for the weekend!!!!!!!!!
