Red face Sirius Radio install

Does anyone know how to get to the 12 pin connector on the LCD screen, I have to plug the new harness into it? My truck is 2011 150 XL.

You're going to end up pulling the entire center stack face off. It's the only way to get back there.

Unhappy Sirius connector

Does that mean the side panels, and the airbag cover on the passenger side.

No. The center stack cover should come out on its own.

The 12 pin connector is nowhwere to be found, even behind the radio module. The instructions say to disconnect the factory connector from the lcd screen, and connect the sirius harness to the lcd. The only other wire in sight is a 4 pin connection to the radio face board. Might I have the wrong kit? I will try the tech line for the install kit also.

I have a " Media Gateway " kit for sirius, it has a seperate harness for non nav. with lcd screen, the sirius comes thru but the lcd will not change the staitions. The last item for install is to plug the PGHFD1A harness into the lcd display and leave factory connector unused.

Factory radio with built in Sirius tuner or aftermarket head unit?

Are you installing the isfd571-scc1 ?

Check under the large try located in the center of the top dash. It really easy to remove by lifting of the rubber cover that lines the bottom of the tray and removing two 7mm screws. Grab the tray closest to the front windshield and slightly push it towards you then lift up the end that your holding and slightly pull it back towards the glass and you can lift it out of there entirely.

This will expose the back side of the LCD, I think there are a couple of harnesses right there.

Is that unit for factory sat ready radios only or will it work with aftermarket head units that are not sat ready?

Did you pick up that unit as a discontinued item?

I bought it over the internet, was reffered by this forum, I think. It will work on the 2011 if it has the SAT button on the factory radio, but nothing else was behind the center stack.
