iSimple Media Gateway in 2009 F150 XLT

Has anyone installed this kit in a 2009 Ford F150:

http://www.tss-radio.com/isimple-med...it-p-6742.html

I had my dash apart and had everything together except plugging the PGHFD1A Harness into the LCD display above the radio. I have no idea how to get to the back of the display. If anyone has any thoughts, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Bought the same kit on ebay. Works great if you have the standard OEM radio with a Sirius button and no OEM navigation. Fairly easy to install. You access the LCD display by removing the rubber cover on top of the dash and then removing 2 screws on the plastic plate under the rubber cover, you will then see the plug in for the display.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I did find out that the rubber insert removed on the dash to reveal the back of the LCD display. After that, very easy install. I enjoy having Sirius in this truck. The only negatives of this type of install is that the steering wheel controls do not change channels through the presets, and the LCD readout does not display all of the song/artist information.

Strange.... my steering wheel controls work w/presets 1 thru 6. Also, I have SAT1, SAT2 & SAT3 w/seperate usable presets for each totalling 18. My truck is a 2010 XLT which I thought would be the same as an 2009.

Mine works the same as mWags. Full steering wheel controls, with preset buttons 1-6 functional and Sirius 1, 2 & 3 giving me a total of 18 presets.

I noticed the Media Gateway had a firmware upgrade hoping that would add steering wheel functionality... applied the update, no luck. Must be something different in the 2009 model.
