Sirus antenna
My beautiful 2008 has a problem.
Above 65 mph, there is a high pitched sound from the front of the passenger section. I could not pinpoint it, tried taping all door openings and windshield edges, and then removing one section at a time. Didn't take it away or localize.
Looking at the truck (and thinking about asking the dealer to pop the windshield and reseal it) I noticed the satellite antenna. It is loose and movable. Taped all of its edges and seams, and the noise reduced 80%.
So I tried to open it at the seam, but could not budge it. If I could open it I would caulk all the inside edges and the opening into the cab.
Anyone know how to get in to it? Thanks.
