WAs wondering if anyone here has had this problem. I have an 08 that came with sirrus an i have recently put a avic d3 in . The installer told me they cant hook the satellite radio up yet the converter or module is on back order.

Is there any way to do it or is he fill'n me full of

I believe what they are doing is waiting for a Sirius module to hook up to the d3, as the Ford Sirius module is good for nothing but the CAN Bus system in your truck

 

so they cant use the factory intenna? Would they have to run another one? Because i just dont want three intennas ontop of truck

 

ya.. the antenna will work.
Mine works, anyway, with my Eclipse Sirius module.
It was just a PITA to make the connector stay in...unless there is an adapter I don't know about

 

Thanks for the info klassic , yea just payed for full year and now i cant use it at all, with 7 months left. Oh well ,
