At what altitude? That's almost a full second slower than my 2003 4.6 2v

Something isn't right. Either you had an awful launch or your truck isn't running correctly

Can you post all the time slip info?

On the time slips its usually something like:

Reaction time
60ft
1/8 mile time
1/8 mile speed
1/4 mile time
1/4 mile speed

Track elevation 190 feet
September, low humidity

1999 F150 2wd, reg cab, short bed, 5.4L 2valve
265/16/70 Michelin
empty weight 3900 lbs
Stock, no modifications

Time/speed will be slower at higher elevations.
Also high temps/humidity will factor.
Mid July slowed my truck by over a half sec.
That was many years ago.

The only 17.49 truck I've seen at the track was when I talked my brother-in-law into running his stock mid-ninities Dakota 4x4, six banger.
He ran 17 and a half all day long.

1/4 mile is to but its a good indication of a cars performance. ... includes a rather poor reaction time of 1.124. terminal speed was 112.37mph.
