I think there should be a size limit on sigs. My sig is 559 x 239 pixels and 30,245 bytes. Plenty small enough. Now, there's one guy here whos sig is 540 x 220 pixels animated in 91 frames and 3,469,495 bytes. That is just a little rediculous...

I tend to only use mine when im in the regular forum, if im in GD people know me, and when im in that upper half of the forum i tend to use my sig as kinda like a credential when im replying to a suspension thread, or tint or something else that i have real world experience in.

I may be new here but I am on half a dozen other forums and the sigs here are WAY too big. Let them post it every time post but trim it down to about 200 pixels thick. Then you can have a link to your gallery where if people want to see some nice detailed pics of your truck or whatever they can but otherwise you can scroll down and half the posts are just pictures of giant signatures.

I have good intentions, I think I should only post my sig once per thread but it's so automatic anymore that I forget.

Cool.

IMO, the size of my sigs are borderline too big. The size of the sigs is what we need to figure out and get a standard on.

Kobi said it best:

Anyone can make a giant sig. That's easy. When you can convey the essence of the person and what they want to say in 100x500, then you've done something. (Granted, in the scope of worldly important things it's useless, but in this universe it has meaning). Also, with regard to Photoshop . . . NONE of you should be leaving your day jobs. You wanna see a great sig, check out Brewdude's. (And D . . . love your new sig.)

I dont give a crap about "how many times" it shows up in a thread, that just shows me that *so and so* is on top of that thread. I skim read alot of these threads, and the sigs help me go faster if I'm searching for something, or someone.

Oh BTW....good Monday morning.

I don't have a dog in this fight as I turned off 'seeing the sig feature' months ago.

As far as quotes, it's worth the effort to just cut out the actual part of the post you're responding too.
Nobody wants to re-read a long post just to try an figure out what part you're yaking about.

Some dots before and after (as above) indicate the quote has been 'cut out'.

Save a tree!

I think my signature is pretty. I also think that it helps identify the poster.
