Ford Employees, check in here!
I'm sure there is probably a bunch of Ford employees on the board, just thought it would be good to share where you work and what you do for the Blue Oval!
I'm a CAD designer (seats) working at the research and engineering center (building 5) here in Dearborn. Only been working for a few months, but loving the job and looking forward to a long Career

I applied at Ford with the SI-lab (Sci-lab? It's across the kiddie-corner from the PDC) and also to Powertrain calibration in Dearborn.
Hopefully I'll get an interview after Christmas vacation.
I used to co-op in Climate Control and worked on the 2003 DEW98 (back in 2000) and also the 2006 Explorer (in 2002) programs. Everything else I did was current model boring stuff.
My dad, now retired, worked in the X-garage/EVB doing calibration on the 2v 3.0L V6 for the Taurus program (from the beginning)

There was a Ford interior designer on here back in 2001 who said he was working on a super duper secret project and in 2002 they moved the ashtray.
It's not as bold as that is it?
I know you're not spilling anything but, if I say a word and you respond with just some kind of smilie that wouldn't be considered a spill.
The word is........V9....
(better gas mileage than the V10 but, more umph than the V8)
(oh, and you change that ninth plug by simply removing the radio, shear genius)

the wife work as a ford dealer at Lompoc Valley ford.
and no, im not all about ripping off the poor man..lol and no there isnt any secrets we hold from the customers so we can make that extra cash...the info is all out there, its no secret! i just love ford and what they do for their customers, and most of all how they think about the DRIVER not the engine.
me or the wife could have chosen to work at Toyota, and or Honda and the enemy "Chevy" but thats not a product that i would want to own, so why sell it?
