I have a 93 Ford f150 i6. Starts up runs just fine. Drives for awhile some times dies while driveing. When it dies does not restart. Wait some time. Sometimes 20 mins sometimes a day and it will start and run fine again. After driving for 20 or so mins it also will not restart if you turn it off. Everything seems to be fine. It's getting spark, fuel pump primes but from what I can tell the injectors do not open. If you spray fuel or starting fluid down the intake it will start and runs until it uses it all up. When it dies while driving sounds like it runs out of gas.
Any help would be nice.

 

Almost sounds like a relay of sort going bad.

 

Have you checked the fuel pressure to verify the pump is working when it doesn't start?

 

I recently put in two new fuel pumps. I have two fuel tanks. I have tried switching to the other one when it happens no change. But i will check.

 

If it is a relay what one would it be? I did a code check on it no codes.

 

any idea what one it could be?

 

yes I'm getting around 40 psi at the rail
