fuel pump
i have a 1990 f150 with the 4.9 4x4 i would like to bypass my in tank fuel pump which is bad with a inline fuel pump but i dont know what pressure rating i need

45-60 lbs. Personally, I'd drop the tank and do it right. I'd also suggest replacing the fuel gauge sender as well.

Never done this before and seen it done 2 ways, one dropping tank and the other removing the bed. Is it a lot easier dropping the tank?
Do you know how many bolts to remove to remove the bed? It seems like it would be easier to drop the tank but I guess i am just worried about running into problems with removing all the hoses/connectors? (I usually run into problems with removing those things) If i removed the bed would I have direct access to the port hole? Wish it was as easy as my daughters VW Convertible Beetle! All i had to do was drop the top down lift up the rear seat to remove, open the porthole and install! |
