Hey, I'm new to the forums for ford. I bought a 1990 ford f-150 with a fuel gauge stuck on half. I checked the wiring at the sending unit, and the connector was completely rotted away. It literally crumbled in my hand. So I'm guessing that since the electric is not connected, that it wouldn't be the sending unit, but most likely the gauge itself. I am guessing this, because the gauge is still stuck on half (the tank is empty by the way). Anyone else have a similar issue, or can tell me if I'm in the right direction?
