This is my Dad's old 1971 F250 that he bought brand new back in late 1970... I was 7 years old when we picked it up!

It's on it's 3rd 390 and has it's second C6 in it now.. New paint, (close to the original green it was in 1971), new 16" wheels/tires (he still has the original 16.5" split rims with inner tubes no less!). The interior is refreshed with new seat upholstery, new rubber floor, new steering wheel and arm rests (can't get green ones these days, even from LMC!) but the rest is still original.

New brake lines and brakes as well and this thing runs great and can run unleaded/10% E fuel now too!

I hope to get this truck at some point, but not too soon, if you know what I mean.. ;)

Anyway, I learned to drive in this truck and our little family of 4 traveled lots of miles in that little cab towing a #6000 TT all over the west coast for some really good camping experiences and the main reason I will only own Ford trucks and go camping to this day..

Dad does own a 2005 Dodge 3500 Dually now to tow his huge 5th wheel, but he's always kept this F250 around and running all these years!

Just thought I'd share because it's just a blast to drive again!

That's neat. Clean truck. Thanks for sharing.

I forgot what it sounded like to have gas sloshing in the tank right behind the seat! No power steering and even with that big wheel, it's still a B to turn!

But, I loved driving it again.. It was probably 20 years since I drove it last.

Awesome......incredibly rare these days to have a vehicle stay in the family since new....it does look like it's in incredible shape!
