1996 F150 transmission interchange.
 

Hello everybody, I'm new here and need help. My mothers 1996 F150 5.0 ltr has a 4R70W transmission and it's going out. I'm either going to rebuild it or replace it with a used one. My question is are there any other year model 4R70W transmissions interchangeable with hers?

96 or earlier 4R70W from a 5.0, must be same drive type (2wd or 4wd).
