Iraqi F-100?

I stopped in to talk to an old feller yesterday about possibly buying a 1966 F-100 he had and we ended up talking for over 2 hours while he showed me just about everything he had on his property (there's a lot). One of the weird things he showed me was a 1980 or so F-100 Ranger on what he claimed was a full-size car chassis and running gear. He claimed that they were special built trucks for sale in Iraq in the oil fields and had weird options (similar to the Chevy Malibu Iraqi Taxis). They originally ordered something like 100000 trucks but only really wanted 60000 so the rest of the order was sold here. I tried searching and couldn't find anything yet and was wondering if anyone here knows anything about these trucks?

In all my vacations to Iraq and Afghanistan, in addition to bringing our own trucks, we'll lease local trucks as well. Things are done different for sure. Things we take for granted like, crash test ratings, airbags, abs, quality construction, ect...

Anyway for those reasons these trucks can't be sold in the US, but I would steal and haul one home no questions.

Haven't worked with '66 trucks overseas obviously, but I'd imagine it's the same idea.
