1985 F150 351 Windsor Carbureted
Hello All,
We compete our F150 in mud racing (mud bogs) and are looking to get a little bit more power out of the 351 windsor, would this be ok to run on our engine? Engine has around 200K miles on it. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/no...0nos/overview/ |
maybe after a re-build...

Who are ya? Vin Diesel?
Anyway, sure you can put nitrous on a well worn motor, but you'll find the weakest link real fast. Adrianspeeder |
i've seen worn out 302s take nitrous, and LOVE it.. doesnt do it a long time.. maybe 6-7 shots of nitrous...
but when they do it.. they freaking love it.. |
I highly recommend reading a few articles like these:
http://www.hotrod.com/techarticles/e..._nitrous_shot/ http://www.hotrod.com/techarticles/n...h_terminology/ http://www.hotrod.com/techarticles/e...trous_systems/ There really isn't a specific kit, generally you buy a NO2 kit and set it up for your system. It's not a crutch, but an enhancement. |
