95 short bed rear spring
Rear spring has two of the 4 leaves broken . I will be taking the bed off because now both fuel pumps have quit and the rear tank leaks around the top .
I am wondering if I get a couple of springs from the salvage yard from a 3/4 ton will they bolt up . I'm not too concerned with the ride , just want to beef up the back a little for hauling .
thank you

ncranchero ,
Thank you for your information . I wish I would have looked back another day on this post . It is 4x4 , but I had already gotten one from a yard before seeing your information .
Here is an idea I am thinking about and need some better knowledge . The spring perch/block is about 2" tall and has a long length of material that runs above the axle . It looks like this is a piece to hit the rubber bumper stop above . I can't picture the rear of this truck having that much travel but there must be a reason for it . I was thinking about cutting the material off the block so I could make a couple of brackets and put a coil spring on top of the axle also . Dumb idea ? If not any idea on what rate of coil to use ? I have several coils from stock cars up to 250 Lbs , but not sure what rate if any to use . The bed is off the truck so this the time to mess around . The problem I'm tryin to be a cheap skate about it !
Thank you
