Good winshield wiper motor replacing thread?
Was poking around on google couldn't find a good thread any where on how to change a wind shield wiper motor. A step by step with pictures would be awesome, other wise Ill kind of just be pissing in the wind pulling random stuff, never changed one of these before. Preferably I'd like to check some thing out before I do change the motor, if there is a thread I simply didnt find please post the link, thanks

Thanks guys, and russo you got a link for everything its great lol.
My symptoms- twist the end to turn em on nothing happens, push it in to squirt fluid nothing happens but I hear the box clicking like crazy (suppose its the relay for wiper fluid) so its safe to assume my motor is bad (I believe)

I try man, if it hasn't been made into a how to, chances are I'm working on it.
Anyway, test for power at the plug ends, I'm not sure which pins would receive power, but just test them all.
Just because the relay clicks means nothing, mine did that and the motor itself was shot, but that was only half the issue. The other half comes from the delay box, which usually ends up being a cracked solder joint inside. I have some pictures of that too

Could be the switch, could be the delay box. Mine was similar, can't remember if the low worked, but the delay did not. Inside the delay box the solder joints can crack, typically with a five speed that uses the parking break a lot. It was tough to spot, but inside the box there were two broken solder joints.

A friend laughed at me once when he saw me gently release the ebrake by holding my foot on it instead of letting it slam. Sounds like I was right... it could damage something by just letting it rip.
