Here's my baby

3 Attachment(s)
She is a 1996 F150 XL 2WD. I purchased her for $1000. Definitely plan to fix her up.

The pictures describe her best, but 4.9L I6 300CIB, 2WD, Two Doors, Manual Windows, Manual Locks, Dented Bed, and worst of all... my lack of a stereo .

Attachment 39648
P.S. I spray painted over the Transformers logo on the hood... It annoyed me. I plan to get a new paint job anyways.

This is my To-Do List: (I'm planning to head to a junk yard to see if I can require some decent parts that aren't relied on for the truck to run, i'll mark them with a * for anyone curious)
Window Cranks* (Driver side door is ripped off)
Cab Lights*
Floor Mats
Cup Holders
Door Baskets (Don't know what else to call them)
Possibly a new seat (mine is torn to hell, hidden by the also crappy seat cover)
Weather Guards
Windshielf Wipers
Bumpers*
Exhaust (possibly one that drops down right below truck for a nice rumble, i'd shatter glass packs if they got put in, suggestions welcomed)

Well that's all I can think of as of now.

EDIT: Also a Burgundy paint job. Also question, anyone know of anyway to add storage under the seat of a two door or possibly some sort of bucket that fits behind the bench in a two door for more organized storage?

EDIT2: correct engine type, changed from v6 to 4.9L I6 300CIB

why would you spray paint over it, couldnt you have just peeled it off??

also, you dont have a V6, its a 300 cubic inch Inline 6

what size bed does it have?

johny89 Jun 4, 2012 10:45 AM

where there still inline sixes in 1996 thought it was 5.0V6 by then.

car looks neat

maybe redo the seat instead of new,

1996 was the last year of the 4.9 I6, it was replaced by the 4.2 V6 in 1997 with the body change.

Wow, who would do that to they're baby ? Could of just used tape or shoe polish.. MUROOF! :ll:

So my engine is bigger than a v6 then or what does that mean? I just assumed it was a v6 by looking at the engine with my limited car knowledge. I can post pictures of engine if that helps.

But I wasn't going to get a new one. There is a huge scrap yard near me that you pay $5 to get into and everything is cheap cause they pay like $200 for broken down cars and just part then out.

So I was going to see if I could find a seat in a truck there I could take out.

EDIT: it also wouldn't peel off. I tried and opted to spray paint over it cause the off white spot sticks out less than a black transformers sign.

Truck needs a new transmission so while I'm at it I'm putting a new motor in it.
