5.0 oil pan question
 
i just picked up a 95 f150 5.0 m5 4x4 for $150
has a hole in the oil pan but engine runs fine everything works body is good from the passenger side it was tboned on the drivers but only sheet metal damage has all the options guy who originaly owned it worked for ford n had every option avalible put in it even had the light under the hood that u can strech and use it as a flash light pretty sweet guy even had a 89 ranger 4x4 5 speed replaed the head n now cant get it runnin ganna get that for $150 too


my question is i know my 4.9 i can pull the pan without jacking the motor can i do the same with the 5.0

Motor needs removed. You can unbolt the motor and raise it 4 or 5 inches. By the time you might as well remove it and just do it out of the truck.

It's faster & easier to pull a V8 than to fight the pan or gasket in-chassis, which usually results in leaks anyway.

While it's out, check all the freeze plugs, timing chain, clutch, engine mounts...

well i tryed starting it but both fuel pumps are shot but engine runs on either. so im just going to part the truck out it was tboned anyway not frame damage just sheetmetal
