460 exhaust/intake
So I finally fullfilled my quest for a mint F-250 with a 460. Found a 93 with 40000 original miles on it, XLT, auto.....
Its got the stock exhaust, and I was wondering if I should just upgrade the exhaust to a 3" with an aftermarket hi-flow cat and muffler, or don't bother with the exhaust unless I add headers? I would also add a air intake kit. Any thoughts? |

While I haven't run a 460 truck yet to give you an answer, I would like to see pictures of this mint ride.
Adrianspeeder When I say mint, it really is. There isn't even any wear on the brake pedal. Underside is like its off the lot. Has a bit of paint fade on the roof and hood from sitting in the California sun, but I'll buff it out. Inside is like new. Drivers seat has no wear at all. Even had the orginal tires, which I had to replace as they were sun cracked/weathered. Its going to be a fun project. Don't mind throwing some money at it since the body is so clean. |
My dad has a 92 250 with a 460. He did a full 3" exhaust with a 50 series flowmaster and a high flow cat. It sounds good and he says the truck holds gears better while towing his travel trailer, mpg a little better also
