95 F150 Rough idle, bogging out

Hi all i have a 95 f 150 with the 5.8L that has 97 000km (60 273 mi) on it. the truck has been parked for the past few years i pulled it out about 3 months ago and it has a rough idle it has gotten better since then. Ive changed the plugs, wires, Distribiter cap, fuel filter, and oil. There is also a fairly loud ticking noise which i think is a stuck lifter or valve. When started the truck revs high then drops to about 600 RPM-700RPM and shakes. While driving when i reach about 30mph it starts to shake and shimmy and bog down a bit and then when i reach 40 it really starts to shake and shimmy. It used to hesitate a lot when i would put my foot in to in but that has since gone away. I adjusted the timing and that helped a little bit. I'm stumped I've put cleaning additives in the gas I've used sea foam and nothing has seemed to make a drastic improvement does anyone have any insight to what my problem might be??????

I was having a similar problem when I pulled my truck out of the garage after awhile. The only thing different was that mine would occasionally back fire too. It ended up being the distributor shaft bearing, it made the distributor\rotor drag for about 30% of it's revolution, and act normal for the rest of the 70%. The only way I found my problem was I pulled the distributor and spun the rotor by hand...it was VERY apparant from there lol.

Pull codes. Here is how.

http://fordfuelinjection.com/?p=13

Next clean your Idle Air Controller on the side of the throttle body. If it is all carbon'ed up, she won't idle.

Post up any codes you find.

Test fuel pressure. Inspect ALL the spark plugs for color/gap/damage, and test each wire with a digital meter for resistance. Clean (don't change yet) the rotor & cap terminals inside. Make sure the plug wires are routed correctly. Set the timing according to the VECI label under the hood. If it still runs badly, open the wiring harness near the ICM to check for shield damage. Read all these captions:
