1989 F150 Power Window issues

My passenger side window has not worked in two years. Yesterday it decided to work. For a one day both windows worked fine. Now my drivers side window doesn't work but passenger window still works fine....any suggestions?

HOW exactly does it "not work"? Does NOTHING happen, or do you hear the motor spinning & the glass doesn't move? If the motor spins, read this caption:

If the motor doesn't spin, pull the screw for the driver's switch bezel, pop the bezel up, remove the 3 screws for the switch connector, pull/pry the window switches out, and install jumpers to find out if the problem is the switch. For driver down, jumper Y to LB/Bk and Wh/Bk to Bk. For driver up, jumper Y to Bk and Wh/Bk to LB/Bk. Study these:

.

If the motor works reliably with the jumpers but not with the switch, then the switch is bad.
