1990 F-150 steering wheel
 

Hi, I own a very cherry '90 F-150 that I dearly love. Problem is I am a disabled Vet with a weight problem (ok, big belly). My baby has no tilt wheel. I have considered a 12" wheel but whould actually rather add components to make a tiling wheel. (Or both?) The VA is helping me on my diet and rehab, but I really would like to address this problem without a lot of cruel retoric. I am having a problem finding the correct adapter - ie Grant to fit a smaller wheel and or add the correct components to make my steering collumn tilt. Please help me if you can. Just find a JY '87-91 tilt column - they're VERY common in Broncos & F-series, and can usually be had for less than $100 complete. Does the truck have cruise already? If not, you might have to add that wiring harness to connect a tilt column since most tilts are set up for cruise. You don't have to make the cruise work - just use its connectors.

I put an '87-91 wheel on the '83 tilt column that I swapped into my '83 Bronco.

I've got a few spare columns, but I think the one tilt wheel column has a bad ignition switch setup, so you would have to swap yours in if you want to pay shipping + a little bit more. I'll investigate my inventory asap.

Another thing, I ran around in my '84 for a little bit and didn't even know I had tilt column, because I was used to the '92+ with a separate control. Just makin' sure you don't have a tilt by pushing forward the turnsignal and didn't know it.
