93 F150 Headlights, Radio, and Speedo not working.

Alright guys, here's what I've got in a nutshell. I switched the battery with the truck running, I know I know fourwheeling emergency, and fried the wire that appears to go from the solenoid to the regulator on the alternator. When this happened I lost my speedo, radio, and headlights. After checking every single fuse in the truck and under the hood, on a whim I pulled the headlight switch and noticed that the female connector was burnt at several pins. After several hours on google I've came up with two theories: 1. all three are connected at the switch. 2. none of them are connected and I have three separate problems.

P.S. 4wd, E4OD, 351W, Aftermarket Radio hooked to stock harness

Separate issues.

Either buy a junkyard alternator cable, or buy the correct fusible link wire & repair yours.

You can buy a new (Chinese) headlight pigtail at most parts stores, or cut one in the JY.

The radio MIGHT be trash from the power surges.

Thanks Steve, I was really hoping you'd still be around. Been a few years. Anyway I've got the alt. cable repaired and the headlight problem sorted out, threw my spare switch in and its all good. Now I've just got to get to the bottom of the radio and speedo. Not sure if this matters but the needle on the speedo is always pegged right out, battery plugged in or not. Also everything else works fine besides the radio and speedo now.

Update. Radio is fixed, fuse in back of deck was blown. Now just the speedo. Does anyone have a schematic, my chilton doesn't have the speedo circut

Hold the RESET button while turning the key to RUN, and the speedo should do a full sweep test, finishing at 0. Then turn the key off & it should display properly. For the complete explanation, read this caption:
