Leveling Kit and Tire Question
 

I have a 92 F150 2wd with a 5.0 engine. Right now its sitting on 31x10.50x15's but i want to fit 33x12.50x15 on there. Would just a 2 inch leveling kit do the job? Or would that not be enough room to fit these tires. Im upgrading to mud terrains and 15x10 inch rims. Anyone have pics of how it looks?

what is the offset and backspace to your rims?
i want mine to stick out a lot
so im thinking about going with a
negative offset and a 4 inch backspace

but dont 4x4's sit higher already than 2wd's do?

to tell you the truth i have no clue what the offset is on my rims lol and i think that the 4x4s do sit higher than 2wd but i think you would be able to fit that size of tire with a 2 inch leveling kit because i was running this size of tire when it was stock height

You will not be able to fit the same size tire as a 4x4 with the same amount of lift. Most people with 4x2 trucks have to run a 4 inch lift to clear 33s without having major rubbing issues. I would level the front and get some 32s and be done with it.

Yeah that's what I heard too. I think I'm just gonna level it and buy some 15x8's with low backspace and negative offset to make my 10.50s stick out past the fender.

You MIGHT be able to get by. Just depends. I currently have 31x10.50x15s on my 94
F150 which has 2.5 helper springs in the back and a set of 4WD leveling coils in the front with 4WD shocks all the way around. You will MOST LIKELY need to trim your front bumper a bit at the least ( I've done that already ). Also recommended is the I-Beam drop brackets. I just got my installed ( with a complete front end rebuild ( new ball joints and front end link-age ( everything ) and installed the drop brackets I've had forever ) because more than likely it will be VERY difficult to completely and properly align the truck.

I can't understand how someone can put a 2" or 2.5" leveling kit on their truck, run 31" tires, and still have issues with rubbing! The front end thing gets me too...I have a '93 F 150, with 2" leveling coils, and I run 32x11.50 on my truck with no issues at all! I had the front end rebuilt to straighten out the alignment, but since then it drives straight and true, and tire wear is fantastic, especially for the aggressive tread I'm running...I guess every situation is different, but I think advice should be limited, and simply left to "this is how my situation is", rather than "so here's what you NEED to do".

Did you have any rubbing problems with 33x12 on the truck with leveling kit?

Depends on rim width and offset weather it'll rub the radius arms or not.

i did a 2" leveling springs on the front, it gave me 1" up front and 1" down in the rear, it works like a tedder todder effect. im running 31". you might get away with 32". which are special order but look pretty cool.

I have a 1993 2wd that I just got a leveling kit for. It came with 2 round blocks/spacers type thing and two bolt type things. Do you know how to install this?
