Lately I took all the belts loose and the ticking noise is still present. I am wondering if I should change out the cam and lifters.

 

I have a ticking sound from the driver side head. It speeds up with RPMS and seems to get louder under heavy load. I'm close to popping the valve cover and taking a look but a little scared. Might take a peak this weekend...
