Low Pressure port?

Anyone know where it's at on a 94 with a 5.0? Need to stick a can of that artic freeze to charge my A/C for the summer. It's blowing cold, just not cold enough.

thanks for any help!

It's on the accumulator. The black can on the pass side of the engine compartment. Follow the ac lines.

I take it your compressors clutch is cycling off and on.
If it is staying on do not add anything to the system.
Maybe this will help:

Your right subford, it's clicking on and off and it's getting annoying.
I knew it! Hey thanks for that diagram! My only problem is, on the instructions it says to attach the cannister nozzle to the low pressure port, and I followed the lines and sure enough, the "low pressure port" fitting is much too small for the cannister nozzle. I hate it when things like this happen. Anyone have any ideas?

You have a R12 Low Pressure Port and it sounds like you have some other special fitting on your cannister nozzle. You need to install an adapter fitting from R-12 to your artic freeze fitting what ever that may be.
I know Freeze 12 has special fittings and I would guess artic freeze does too.

That's good. You should never put anything into the system other than the original refrigerant, for MANY reasons. And blindly dumping refrigerant into the system is a good way to cause a rupture. Read these & their captions:

The "high pressure port" has a little sticker next to it that says R134a. Are there two types of freon?

"Freon" is a trademark name owned by DuPont & used for R-12 & R-22. The DuPont name for R-134a is "Suva". There are MANY other types of refrigerant; some legal & some illegal, as that 1st TSB describes. AFAIK, the only refrigerant currently legal in all 50 states for mobile A/C systems is R-134a.
