Transmission/Sensor Questions

I just bought a 1994 F-150 XLT ext cab, with a 5.0 V8 in it. The guy who had it before me put about 4 quarts to much transmission fluid in it, and I was going to drop the pan and drain it the other day, however a row of the bolts is under the frame, this may be a noob question but how do I get to those bolts.

Also, I just replace the Rear Wheel ABS Sensor on the rear differential, I need now to replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor, the "experts" at Autozone said that it is located somewhere on the transmission, I was just wanting to confirm the location before I get under the truck and start looking around.

The RABS sensor is the VSS on your truck. One unit performs both functions.

Loosen or remove the trans mount bolts & pry the trans up to access the pan bolts. While the pan is off, install a drain kit so it's not as messy next time.

What made you think the ABS sensor needed to be replaced? What makes you think the OSS needs it? Stay OUT of the zone.

The 4R70W (used only with '94-96 5.0L MAF) does have an OSS, just like the AODE & most later slushboxes.
