bucking and stalling
 
i have a 95 f-150 with the I-6 it bucks when you are just cruising or climbing hills, if you put it in reverse forget it, it stalls 90% of the time. i have replaced the fuel filter, throttle position sensor, mass air flow sensor, plugs, cap, rotor. i have had it hooked to a snap-on scanner that points toward the electronic temperature sensor? does this sound reasonable or am i dealing with something else? by the way the truck has 206,000 miles and all plugs are burning evenly so no sign of internal damage. please help this truck has had me out of work for over a week now

You don't mention spark plug wires on the list of stuff replaced. If you haven't replaced them, I would do so. I would also use some fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank, just follow the instructions on the container.

plug wires are new, i have added injector cleaner and super unleaded, it doesn't seem to affect it

If the truck was warm and the ECT sensor failed the electrical test in the KOEO self-test then replace the sensor.
Unhook the battery for 30 minutes and drive it for ten miles and see what it does then.
This ECT sensor has a two wire plug and is located up near the Thermostat.

Try O2 sensor!
 
My 1993 F-150 had 230,000 on it when it started running rough. I had it checked by Snap On computer expert. He told me to replace the O2 sensor and the vacuum solenoid sensor. It runs smooth now. The codes are a bit tricky in detailed fixes. I trusted an expert as I watched him go through the codes and the entire diagnostic. A lot has to do with the amp and volt readings in certain other sensors that gave the expert his opinion of the fix. I no longer have CHECK ENGINE light coming on and fuel mileage is back to normal.

o.k. this thing is flashing about half the codes that are out there, sould i replace the computer?

It will flash the same code two times.
The computer could be bad but do not change it for this reason alone. If you can not keep up with the flashing get the reader I posted above. Write them down and post them back here. Do not look them up in the book that comes with it or on-line and start changing parts.

We will help you understand what all of codes are saying the problem is. You may have codes for four sensors and if you replace all four you may still have the same codes if maybe the 5 Volt reference voltage is wrong.

o.k. this is koeo it reads 33, 53, 35, 112, 23, 27 i will be doing it again koer in a short while, thanks for the help. by the way these are the numbers it's come up with consistantly 7 or 8 times that i've done the test

The KOEO test is an electrical test for sensors and solenoids only.

You have a 1995 so you will only have three digit codes, you need to look at it again.

You are not to do a KOER test until you fix the electrical codes.

All I can say is try again.
There is not a 712 code for your truck.
335 is for a DPFE sensor and you do not have one.
112 says the IAT sensor is bad.
232 code is only found in CM codes and you said these were KOEO.

Better spend the $30.00 and get the code scanner I posted above so we know what you are getting.
