Shorty headers shouldnt be all that hard to install since they bolt right up to the existing pipes. They replace your stock manifolds. You should notice a good low end power gain and a little deeper tone in your exhaust. If the bolts are real rusted, put some penetrating oil on them and let it sit a day or two if possible. If you have any doubts, there are two brothers in pineville that can probably help. Thier last name is Saucier and they own a tint/auto shop.I went to LA Tech with them. They are really in to racing mustangs and know some engine tricks.Lets us know how it goes!

Have you got your new headers on yet? Did they make a difference?

If you haven't and you're concerned about the rusty exhaust bolts, go purchase a can of PB Blaster from Advanced Auto. Spray it on the night before and let it wick into the threads overnight. Also spray them the next morning about an hour before you start. The stuff smells bad, but it really works. My son just put headers on his '77 Camaro and the exhaust had never been off. He did the above and didn't come close to breaking a bolt. PB Blaster is terrific!!
