Air Bag light on after mud and water...

We have recieved about 4.5 inches of rain in the past couple of days and my boss finally decided to shut down the last 2 of our wells. I had to drive down several miles of flooded backroads, and foward a foot deep creek to get out there and back. Back in town I noticed the Air bag light flashin in a *--*-*-*
pattern, anyone know what's wrong? My truck is a 96 4.9 single cab short bed 4x4. Nothing was submersed, but maybe alot of water splashed something?

I'm not very familiar with your particular model, but it sounds like an issue with a sensor.

i'd figure out what the code is and then let us know and see if its serious. as of right now your air bags wont work because the light shuts off the system when it comes on.

211 is not a good code for the air bag system.
It should be only two numbers, like 12 or 21 with a longer space after the two numbers are flashed.

I meant like a 13...

Yes, but sometimes it does a 52 instead. Iknow it dont make any sense, but anything air bag related is way over my head. This is probably a trip to the ford dealer, and a $800 repair just to get it to where i can sell it. But it is still been 100% humidity and rainy so maybe after it dries out and it gets several 90 degree days it will line itself out?

Yes it sounds like you have some wet shorts to ground.
13 & 52 are both power related and the testing for them is many pages long.
See if it will dry out, disconnect the battery for a while and then see if they do not go away.
