Heavy Duty Clutch?
Does anyone know where I can find a Heavy Duty clutch for my 92 F150 with the straight 6 and 5 spd tranny? My stock one has been going out on me for a little while and I went out mudding this weekend and ended up burning it up pretty good. I have only been able to find stock replacements but would like to get something better if possible. Thanks

I have a heavy duty Brute Power on my V6, and if I had it to do over again, I'd go OEM. The thing chatters like crazy until I throw on a big load or hook up the trailer.
That said, Centerforce has clutches for your truck. |
I have a centerforce dual friction for mine and it is way better than any clutch I ever had before. I do have the 5.0L, however, check out the centerforce site for more info.

Centerforce, Hayes and Borg Warner should all have an HD option for you.

It looks like I will probably order the Centerforce Dual friction. Seems to be the best for the money. Thanks

How do I know if I need to order the 10" or 11" clutch?
|
I'd like to order it today, so any input on the correct size would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going on a faint recollection, so don't take this to the bank, but I believe you can use *either*. I would highly recommend that you pull the flywheel and send it out to be bench ground as part of the job.

Anybody know for sure?
I'm definately going to bring the flywheel to the machine shop before I put it back in. |
