1996 f150 washer wiper problems..
my washer pump stopped, but my wipers were still working. After a week or so I got the time to take a look. The wires to the pump were corroded/broken.
I went to order a new pigtail, and then my wipers stopped working as well.
I cleaned the MFS as others have suggested, but still nothing.
My question is how to tell if it's the MFS or the governer/WCM unit.
I do hear the wiper control module (behind glovebox) click when the washers are pushed, or wipers turned on to high if that means anything??
Any help would be appreciated.

Sound like the switch is working. You can try to turn the wipers on and pull on the wiper arms, or tap the wiper motor to see if it will jar itself free. If so, you got a bad motor. Never have replaced the governor assy in one yet. Always a switch or motor problem. If you hear clicking, switch is probably working. You could still play around with the switch while it is on and see if anything happens.

bigbronc thanks for the reply,
I never got back to say that after replacing the pigtail for the washer pump, it still doesn't work. tried a new pump as well.
I'm thinking it is the MFS, as neither washer nor wipers work??
I did try to agitate the wiper motor into working, but she wouldn't budge.
