header question

Are there any long tube headers for the 5.8L in my 94, that have a provision for the egr tube (all factory emissions crap needs to be hooked up for visual emissions inspection in my county). All the shorty headers seem to, but I can't find any long tubes that do.

Anyway this is the connection I was talking about in blue.

I can't seem to find any long tubes with it anywhere.

Go with Bassani. They're considered 'optimum' length. Spend the extra money for a quality built product that you won't end up replacing later. I'm currently awaiting my tax return for a set :rocker: . From what I've heard, everyone completely LOVES them.

www.truckperformance.com has them

Don't expect to find a set of long tubes with emissions freindly stuff. Most people running them dont worry about emissions.

Get a good set of shorts and a Bassani y-pipe and be done with it.

Skip chrome and get the ceramics. I am glad I did.

Either ceramics or stainless are worlds better than chrome in terms of corrosion. Ceramics reduce underhood temps by a bunch, stainless does not.
Chrome looks pretty.:(

Stainless will look horrible soon after the install just like painted or chrome. Go with ceramic. Look at post number 15. Those are FMS stainless shorties after about a year.

I guess I'll wait for my tax return and go with the Bassani ceramics. As for the y pipe, I was planning on just going to get an OEM repacement w/ cat (magnaflo or catco).

Get the Bassani. It bolts up right where the stock one does. And has a 3" exit. Perfect for running a single 3" exhuast. Not to mention that a new 3" pre-bent pipe for these trucks is like 30 bucks.
