Transmission Dead

I came off the highway after doing a steady 65/70 and the truck took a nose dive. It failed to shift into 3rd or o/d and started flashing the CEL. F**K is all i can say. Its an AOD with 180904. Need advice. How much will it cost if i take it somewhere and what not. I know it usless asking but i must have an idea so i dont get ripped off.

Im not sure honestly

I could have sworn that thing was toast. But after so heaving flooring it started shifting again. Didnt mess with anything. Fluid is fine and the right color. I pulled the codes at orilleys. 11 13 42 and 32 i think. Nothing i didnt know already. So :) im happy. that was a scare and ima keep an eye on it. No more hard shifting either! Idk honestly. but it got me to class :)

Good deal man, I like spontaneous fixes. Although they usually make me nervous for a few months after. Good luck to you amigo :bandito:

Thanks man! Nobody else was going to help me sadly. It has made me nervous unfortunately.

It's all good, I had to replace the tranny in a 94 Thunderbird and it cost around $3500 if I remember correctly. So hopefully whatever was wrong with yours was just a fluke or something. Well, good luck as I said before not a very cool Christmas present from your truck if it decides to wait.

Last time I looked, a rebuild job was in the $1500-$2000 range.
