5.0 to 5.8 engine conversion...computer question
I have another conversion question...thanks for all the previous replies to other threads!
I am going from a 302 to a 351 in my 1990 F-150. I have found a rebuildable 351W. I can get the computer...but it is in a truck with an automatic...I have a 5 spd. Can I put the automatic computer in my 5-spd?

Which automatic? If it is a C6 auto computer, it is the same as a stick computer as both get no input from the computer. If it is a computer for an E4OD truck, you will get tranny codes stored constantly, but it won't affect the engine operation.
