90 5.0 no spark
So this is going on almost 2 months now. I've replace the coil, dist, ICM, plugs....you name a part of the ignition system and I've probally replaced it. I'm just not getting any spark. When I turn the engine it will give one spark from the coil and then nothing after that. One thing that is very odd to me is that off of the ICM there is the plug that is used for timing. whenever I remove that plug it will spark like normal. Could there be something thats blocking a signal from the ICM to the coil? I'm severly confused and been w/o my truck for a long time. Any help is appreciated.
thanks

That means it's either a defective ECM, or there is a break in either the PIP wire or the Ignition Ground wire, between the ICM and the ECM. Your PIP wire should be gray w/ a yellow tracer, and runs from one end of the ICM connector to pin 56 at the 60 pin ECM connector. The Ign. Ground wire should be black w/ an orange tracer, and runs from the opposite end of the ICM connector to pin 16 at the 60 pin ECM connector. Check for continuity, and fix as necessary.
